Through the Looking Glass | Installation
Main Street, Hyannis, MA
The design for Memory Frames is inspired by the many layers of meaning present in any one view on Cape Cod.
By presenting cropped views the viewer is encouraged to frame a unique moment.
Located at the threshold between the industry of train station to the natural edge of the harbor, the piece is a lens that shift perspectives.
Remniscent of a kaliediscope, telescope or rose colored glasses, the Memory Frame is fabricated of steel rings. The inserts are made from colored polycarbonate with a etched and filled image.
Through the Looking Glass was selected for first place in the Mid Cape Cultural Council’s call for entries for “interactive frames” in
the Town of Barnstable.
Funded through a Grant from
The Mid Cape Cultural Council.
