Since 2007 Mary-Ann has been a studio critic or lecturer at Rhode Island School of Design's Department of Interior Architecture. She has taught " Building Materials Exploration since 2012. The curriculum focusses on intrinsic and extrinsic properties of materials and the sustainable choices we must make as designers.

The Design Initiative has extensive experience in the selection of interior fixtures and furnishings that respond to the current need for environmentally responsible material choices. Ms Agresti’s role as the Building Materials lecturer in the Interior Architecture department at Rhode Island School of Design sets her at the  optimum position for being most current on the environmental impacts related to building finishes and furniture for educational environments.
