The Design Initiative, Inc was contracted to provide contract furnishing and interior finishes for the 411,000 sf. Brain and Cognitive Sciences Complex at MIT, the first building on campus to earn a LEED certification.

The building is the largest neuroscience center in the world integrating three of the neuroscience centers dedicated to studying the brain: The Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, the McGovern Institute for Brain Research, and The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory.
